　　Ｂ．助動詞　do did does で強調、疑問詞前にon earth　を置く。
　　Ｃ．few little （否定語noを使わない否定語）
     　　hardly scarcely rarely seldom（否定語no を使わない頻度、程度の否定）
　　Ｄ．部分否定、全体否定
　　Ｅ．Ｖ＋Ｓ　の倒置で強調。
　　Ｆ．場所、方向を示す副詞を文頭に置き倒置文にして強調。

Ａ．　Mr. Smith hired her as an assistant yesterday. 　強調したい部分を「It~~that」で挟む。

It was Mr. Smith that ( who ) hired her as an assistant yesterday,
彼女を昨日アシスタントとして雇ったのはスミスさんなんですよ。

It was yesterday that Mr. Smith hired her as an assistant.
スミスさんが彼女をアシスタントとして雇ったのは昨日の事なんですよ。

Ｂ．　We got the first prize. →　We did get the first prize. 　私達は一位を取ったんです。
Visit us if you have time. → Do visit us if you have time. 　時間があれば是非是非おいで下さい。
Why did you say so? →　Why on earth( in the world ) did you say so?　 一体全体なぜそう言ったの？

Ｃ．　＜　可算名詞、不可算名詞の否定　＞

There are few apples in the box. 　 　箱にはリンゴがほとんどない。 　 　
There is little money in my purse.　 　私の財布にはほとんどお金がない。　　　

＜　程度の否定　＞
He has hardly studied this term.　　　彼は今学期ほとんど勉強せずに来ている。
He studied hard this term.　　 　　　 彼は今学期一生懸命勉強した。
I could scarcely believe the story.　　　私は話をほとんど信じられなかった。

＜　頻度の否定　＞
He rarely comes here. 　　　　　　 ここに彼はめったに来ない。
He seldom writes to his father. 　 　 彼はめったに父親に手紙を書かない。

Ｄ．　＜　部分否定・全体否定　＞
Not +always ( all , both , every , altogether , quite ) 「～とはかぎらない」部分否定
Not everybody went there.  　　　皆がそこへ行ったとは限らない。

動詞が否定語と一緒、no, none ＋動詞、助動詞　「　まったく～ぬ、だれも～ぬ。」全体否定
None of the students like math. 　　　生徒の誰も数学が好きではない。
　　　
Ｅ．　＜　　強調の為にＳ＋Ｖ→Ｖ＋Ｓ＝倒置、になる　＞
I have never seen such a beautiful scene.→Never have I seen such a beautiful scene.
そんなに美しい景色は全くもって見たことがない。

Not until he was injured did he give up soccer.→It was not until he was injured that he gave up soccer.
怪我をして初めて彼はサッカーを止めた。

I had hardly arrived when it began to rain.→Hardly had I arrived when it began to rain.
私が到着するや否や雨が降り始めた。

Ｆ．　＜　　文頭に副詞、補語＋ＶＳ=倒置　　＞
The rain came down.→Down came the rain.
降ってきた、雨が。

She was so nervous.→So nervous was she.
